Two of our members, Gail Stewart and George Bradfield of Thru Nature's Eyes, will soon be mounting an exhibit of 100 or so images at the Discovery Center at Callaway Gardens. The exhibit is from May 7 through May 31 and entitled "Up Close and Personal....with Nature. This is a distinct accomplishment. Congratulations George and Gail!!

The Scott Kelby World Wide Photo Walk on July 18th, Canton version, was a huge success. Everyone who participated could upload 2 images for consideration for the 1 best image we could submit from the Canton walk. That image will be competing for some great prizes against the over 900 cities world wide that walked that day.

It is our great pleasure to announce one of our own members, Eillene Kirk, submitted the image that was chosen to represent Canton in this competition.  Congratulations Eillene.

George Bradfield and Gail Stewart ventured into Pigeon Forge's Wilderness Wildlife Week Photography
Contest this past Jan 22nd thru the 29th and returned home with the following........

George received a third place in the Professional Division and the Viewers Choice Award from over a hundred images.

Gail placed second in the Landscape Division.

Congratulations to them and the CPC!

George Bradfield, Cory Mitchell, and Kim Bates received honorable mention at the Southeastern Flower Show.

Kim's entry was Fawn Memories, George's was Passion Flower, and Cory's was Star. Congratulations!

Cherokee Photography Club members with selections by the Southeastern Flower Show are George Bradfield, Gail Stewart, Cory Mitchell, Eillene Kirk, and Kim Bates. All of the images selected will be exhibited at the Flower Show. All images in all classes will be judged on Tuesday, January 27th. Ribbons will be placed along side winning photographs at the show. Prizes will be awarded at the Photography Awards Ceremony on Sunday February 1, at 3:30 p.m.. The Flower Show is January  28 - February 1 at Cobb Galleria Centre.
